When and where is it happening?
The 2019 edition of Aavhan will take place from 22nd March 2019 to 24th March 2019 at the IIT Bombay campus.
Who can participate?
Registration is open to all colleges across the country in a variety of sporting events. Please refer to the corresponding rulebooks for eligibility details.
Can one person participate in more than one event?
Yes. In case that the events clash the responsibility will be of the participant and not of the organisers.
Will on the spot registrations be entertained?
On the spot registrations will be entertained only when a sporting event/events has/ have not met its/their team cap. We would advise you to register online since participation is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Can we participate as individuals not representing a particular college or institute?
Yes, independent participation will be entertained but in case of team events independent candidates will not be allowed to play alongside teams representing particular colleges or institutions.
How do I register for the event?
Teams and individuals must register themselves. The closing date for registration varies from event to event and depends on the availability of slots. The same can be seen at Aavhan's Facebook page. Registration fees for various events are listed in the rulebooks of the corresponding sport. Once paid, the registration fee is not refundable.
How do I reach Bombay?
Bombay is easily accessible through land and air. Catching a bus, train or fight to Bombay should not be a problem.
Does the entire team need to necessarily register for on-campus accommodation?
No. You are welcome to look for accommodation outside the campus .
Does on-campus accommodation include food?
Food will be available at the students' mess and there will be a wide variety of food stalls and eateries to choose from and placate all taste buds. The organising team will not provide any complimentary meal with the accommodation.
I am at the railway station/airport, how do I reach the campus?
The college is located in Powai, an auto or an uber/ola ride will get you there at Rs.400-600 from either place. After you arrive at the campus, our team will be present to guide you through the proceedings.
Is there an option for on-campus accommodation for the participants?
You may register for paid accommmodation, however the same will be available in a limited quantity on first-come-first-serve basis. Keep checking the Hospitality section on the website for updates.
Will you be providing any transport?

What do I do after reaching the IIT Bombay campus?
Make your way to the registration desk at the Student Activity Centre and do not forget to carry your college ID card (original and photocopy) for verification. You will be guided further from there.
What other facilities are available at the IIT Bombay campus?
We have multiple shops on campus and a grocery store for your daily needs as well as a medical centre in case of an unlikely injury.

Can I enter the IIT Bombay campus anytime?
All participants can freely enter the campus on all three days of the fest anytime between 5:00 am and 10:30 pm. However, only those with valid accommodation certificates can stay in the campus beyond 10:30 pm.
When and how will the prizes be distributed?
All prizes of the event, whatsoever nature, will be given only after Aavhan 2019 is over and will be given to the team leaders via online transfer or post. All decisions of the organizing committee with regard to any event of Aavhan 2019 will be final and binding on all.
